Monolith Design was founded in 1990 by Stephen Mussared and is committed to producing carefully researched, well-made gaming miniatures for a wide variety of scales and periods, from Ancient Egyptian through Twentieth Century to Science Fiction and Fantasy. The models are cast in high quality resin providing good surface detail and requiring only the minimum of cleaning-up.

The material is rigid, durable and strong. The models are supplied unpainted and may require some assembly. The material can be painted with acrylic, oil or enamel paints as required. A painting guide is provided on this site. Updates to the painting guide to suit specific model ranges will be produced as required.

Monolith Designs is continually adding new products to its item list, with additions to existing ranges and new models constantly being added. This site will regularly preview new items as they become available. The models within a range are made to a constant scale, applicable to a particular size of gaming figures, including l5mm and 25mm. (Ancients, American Wars) and 20mm (WWI, WWII), etc. The science fiction and fantasy items are nominally scaled for 25mm miniatures, but are applicable to the larger scale fantasy battle models.
