DOLLS Where
ever you go in Disturbia, you will
see dolls. No one knows where they come from or what they are up to, but it
can’t be good. Pyrate City is infested with them, running in packs or lurking
in the shadows, there they are, always watching.
Of course, some folk have set up as doll catchers; often they are rat
catchers as well. Doll catchers wear an odd assortment of clothes; all wear tall
sturdy boots because no one wants an angry doll scampering up their pants. Some
favour hoods while others invest in masks (these are falling out of favour since
the Cutter arrived). The doll catcher is shunned by most people because any one
willing to get close to dolls can not be all there in the head. Therefore, they
often find them selves keeping a favourite doll as a pet, feeding it blood and
milk regularly keeps them passive. So the doll catcher cuts a lonely figure
wandering the twisting streets festooned with gadgets and talisman but at least
they are never out of work. QUACKS
